Just completed high-school. What Next?

No more early morning and late night preps is an amazing feeling. But after two weeks of staying home doing nothing, you start to get bored hence the question, what options does a high school leaver do before joining a University, College or Institute?

Besides enrolling for an International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL) course aka computer packages, since computer literacy is everything in this digital era, you could:

1.     Establish a small business in what you are passionate about or like doing in your free time. It could be making ornaments, photography, network marketing, editing magazines, online writing etc as long as it’s legal. Who knows, you might study a course based on your passion.

2.     Engage yourself in community service. There are a lot of organizations and initiatives with a good cause out there looking for volunteers.

3.     Intern at an organization.

4.     Get a job.

5.     Join groups of like-minded individuals who engage in different activities such as tutoring, clean up exercises, mentoring  etc

Anything to keep your mind busy. Remember an idle mind is the devil’s workshop (my art teacher would say work-a-chop). Let’s get an Education.
