Since time in immemorial there have been claims of satanism in schools and the presence of demons. This has hence led to fear in both students, teachers and parents of the concerned schools and also other schools. This has been experienced in various counties in the country and various remedies have been applied to the situations.

The recent case comes from Bumula Girls High school in Bungoma county.Students want a priest sent to their school to exorcise demons they claim are haunting the school.

Speaking to Citizen Television after staging a demonstration on Monday, the girls say they are terrified by the alleged demons after seeing strange things happen every night.

During the day, the girls say that they see lots of cash littered all over the school compound without a clear source. This, they say, has caused them distress and anxiety and have called for a priest to exorcise the evil spirits behind the strange phenomena in the school so that learning can continue.

The school was completely deserted following the demonstration after the girls were sent home indefinitely as a solution is sought to solve the issue.

Claims of alleged invasion by ghosts are increasingly becoming commonplace in schools  with some alleging mass hysteria, witchcraft and devil worship by students, schools, disgruntled employee and even parents.
